Yogi Teacher Training Advanced Study Group

Areas of Exploration
This study group consists of two types of study, self-study and group study.The group meets once a month from September 2009 until April 2010.
Options for Study within the Program
(These can be mixed & matched as you wish)
• Joining the Teacher Training Weekend Intensives: in whichever area you find interest (up to 20hrs available monthly) Schedule to follow at a later date if interested.
• Monthly Workshops (3 hours each)
• Yoga Therapy Apprenticing: Direct & by video study of the Theraputic approach towards customizing yoga for specific challenges
• Independent Study Project of your choice under the direct guidance of Chris Acosta and/or Julie Heppe. Project suggestions: prenatal, nursing homes, corporate, research therapy, at risk kids etc.
• Yoga Philosophy Study Group: (4 hours one Sunday a month) study from the Yoga Sutras & Upanishads. Sessions of study using a combined methodology including dialogue, chanting, comparisons, meditation and application of the principles in the text to Yoga practice and daily living. Constructive exploration of challenges and successes in the process of svadhyaya.
